The women from the village Bakkaram who were taking vocational training for “Zari embroidery” conducted by KMRF and self help group women participated in the “International Women’s day” ( 8th March, 2010) celebration organized by the foundation.
The village Sarpanch inaugurated the program. The main theme of all speeches was the empowerment of women, importance of education, sending children to school especially girl children, encouraging their participation for livelihood activities, health education program etc.
We conducted games and rangoli contests and distributed prizes to the winners.
